The story behind the art was made to honor our national hero Jose P. Rizal. I am not sure when was the art created and who created the art as the

sources weren’t that helpful to give information, but as I have heard from locals, it was established somewhere around 1998-2000 as 1998 was the

date that Centennial Park was created. My first reaction to the art that I was feeling inspired that someone in my community has managed to do that

kind of thing. My opinion did not change that much as it is just a commemorate Jose Rizal’s accomplishment to the country. The area of the art that

was emphasized was the form of the sculpture and its size as it is large.
