Course The general aim of the course is to provide sufficient knowledge and understanding
Description of principles in building construction and other works related to it. The course covers
the principles of soil, site and soil investigation and soil improvement. It also covers
on the application, techniques and process of constructing deep foundation and
basement.

Transferable Skills Building construction that covers the principles of soil, site and soil investigation, soil
improvement, the techniques and process of constructing deep foundation and
basement.

Methodologies

CLO
CLO1 Apply the basic theories of executing site investigation to substructure works
in building construction (C3).
CLO2 Report verbally and in writing the construction methods of site investigation
to substructure works in building construction (A3).
CLO3 Display the soil test procedures according to PWD Standard and
Specification applied in building construction (P3).
