Course This is the continuation of Builders Quantities and Estimating I (DBN 213). This
Description course provides in-depth understanding and ability to measure and estimate for
building works. The measurement part will comprise the principles of measurement
for doors, windows, roof, and finishes with reference to the Malaysian Standard
Method of Measurement of Building works (SMM). The estimating part covers wood
works, roofing, plastering, finishes, painting, and glazing works. Students will also be
introduces to the preliminaries, prime cost sum, provisional sum and pro rata.
Transferable Skills Upon graduate, the students will be able to practice as an assistant quantity surveyor
in construction field.

CLO2 Demonstrate on ethic and value in estimating the building materials, labor,
plant and equipment for building works.
CLO3 Display the skills of measuring the quantities of architectural finishes for
building works
