The main objective of the course is to prepare students with basic
knowledge and practical prospective of pavement design factors; and

After completing this course, students will be able to
CLO 1 – Discuss different pavement layers, its functions and basic
design factors.
CLO 2 – Identify properties of subgrade soil and different pavement
materials.
Course Learning CLO 3 – Analyze Traffic Loading and other design factors
outcomes (CLO) CLO 4 – Design of flexible and rigid pavements using ERA design
procedures
CLO 5 – Evaluate the condition survey of pavement and assess its
failure
