‫‪To ask questions about (tall, long, wide, high, old, far, deep) as a follow:‬‬
‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن طول للبشر ولألشياء العموديه ومعناها (كم طول)‪1- How tall----------‬‬
‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن لألشياء االفقيه مثل الشارع او النهر ‪....‬الخ ومعناها (كم طول)‪2- How long……….‬‬
‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن عرض االشياء كعرض الغرفه او النهر وغيرها ومعناها (كم عرض)………‪3- How wide‬‬

‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن االرتفاع ألمساحه الطول والعرض) ومعناها (كم االرتفاع)‪4- How high……,‬‬

‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن العمق لألسفل ومعناها (كم عمق)‪5- How deep…..‬‬

‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن العمر ومعناها (كم عمر)‪6- How old…..,‬‬

‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن البعد والمسافة بين مكانين ومعناها ( كم تبعد او كم المسافة)‪7- How far …….‬‬

‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن العدد ومعناها ( كم عدد)‪8- How many+ plural noun.....‬‬

‫وتستخدم للسؤال عن الكميه ومعناها (كم الكميه)…‪9- How much + un countable noun‬‬

Comparative and superlative adjectives:- ‫مقارنة وتفضيل الصفات‬

There are two kinds of adjectives : ‫هناك نوعان من الصفات‬

1- short adjectives ‫الصفات القصيرة‬

2- long adjectives ‫الصفات الطويل‬

Kind of adjective ‫نوع الصفه‬ Example ‫مثال‬ Comparative ‫مقارنه‬ Superlative ‫تفضيل‬
1- short adjectives Small, fast faster than the fastest
‫الصفات القصيرة‬ smaller than the smallest
2- long adjectives Beautiful more beautiful than the most beautiful
more comfortable than the most comfortable
‫الصفات الطويلة‬ comfortable
Irregular adjectives good better than the best
‫الصفات الغير منتظمة‬ bad worse than the worst

Examples :-
1- The red bus is ……………….than the yellow bus. (long)

2-The green bus is ……………..one.(long)

3- my car is expensive .

4- Ali's car is ……………………..than my car. ( expensive)

5- Laila's car is ………………………car of all. ( expensive)

6- my farm is …………….than your farm. (good)

7- Ashraf's farm is ……………one. (good)

8- my computer is …………….than her computer. (bad)

9- Ahmad's computer is ………………one. (bad)

1-What would you like to + inf. + o or com. ? ‫يستخدم للسؤال عن شيء تحب او ترغب ان تقوم به او تشربه او تأكله‬

2- I would ( I 'd) like to + infinitive verb+ object or complement.

I'd like to +inf. + o or com. ‫تستخدم للحديث عن شي تحب او ترغب ان تقوم به او ان تعمله او تشربه‬

Examples :‫امثاله‬
**What would you like to eat?
* I'd like to eat Mansaf.
** What would you like to do?
* I'd like to buy this book about Jordan.

2- Let's ( let us) +infinitive verb + com. ‫ويستخدم هذا التعبير لتقديم ( اقتراح) عمل شي‬
Example:-
a) let's go to Aqaba.
-:‫وتكون االجابه عليها باحدى الطرق التالية‬
1- I would love to.
2-That's a good idea.

3- I'd prefer to + infinitive+ o + com. ‫وتستخدم عندما تفضل عمل شيء عن شي اخر‬
Example:-
A ) what would you like to do on Thursday?
B ) I'd like to go shopping.
A ) I'd prefer to go to the sport centre.

Equal and unequal adjectives:- ‫الصفات المتساوية والصفات الغير متساوية‬

=* Noun is as adjective as Noun.

is as +adjective+ as ‫تستخدم عندما تكون الصفات بنفس المستوى‬

-Example:- ‫مثال‬

Karak is as cold as Ajloun.

=* Noun isn't as adjective as Noun.

isn't as adjective as ‫تستخدم عندما تكون الصفات غير متساوية أي ليست بنفس المستوى‬

_ Example:-
Irbid isn't as cold as Ajloun in winter.

Examples :-

1- Amman isn't as hot / cold as the Jordan Valley in winter.

2- Beirut isn’t as hot / cold as Riyadh in summer.

3- Mafraq isn’t as cool / warm as Ajloun in simmer.
4- Amman is colder / hotter than Saudia Arabia in winter.
5- Saudia Arabia is hotter / colder than Beirut in summer.
