1. What are the challenges of Global Contemporary Governance?

There are many challenges, and one of this is the Education and new communication
technologies, that has an important consequences for the nature of jobs and
employment. Changes in the relationship between individuals and institutions, there is
a growing widespread of trust deficit in general public who no longer trust authorities.
The relationship between different institutions are also changing at local, regional,
and global levels. One of the big problems is the substantial structural problems of an
increasingly fragmented multilateral government system. Increasing mobility change
identities. Security threats cut across borders in the form of terrorism criminal networks
or flow of arms challenging the traditional distraction between interstate and intrastate
conflict.

2. What is the role of UN in the Global Contemporary Governance?

United Nation was established as the organization dealing with all problems beyond
national borders. UN is the repository of the expertise experience and human capital
across the system which can and should be used much better in the governance
framework that are evolving. UN was created as a table around which such rules and
regulations can and have agreed upon and where collective leadership can legitimately
be exerted. UN is continuously and positively impacts each and every individual around
the world in any 24-hour period. UN has done many things including; to medical
guidelines for checks to be carried out before an operation, to international dialing
coeds for the phones that we are have, to standards for the foods that we eat, to
capacity-building for developing countries, to the cleaning of landmines to help
communities develop, to the millions of children that get vaccinated across the globe,
and to the integration of human rights into all that we do.
