The benefits of Being a Collages Athlete

Most people think that being a college athlete is achievable for every athlete, but

people don't know how student-athletes have to deal with a lot of mental issues and other

things that come with it. The reason for this is because student athletes set a standard for them

to feel comfortable and realize that their comfort is going away since their daily work starts

feeling harder every day. However, athletes found a way to make their days a routine and

benefit from it every day by trying to get the best of it. Also, sometimes they start getting

mental issues or disorders in their body because of the stress or something that comes with

dealing with school and sports simultaneously. Most people tend to view college athletes as

role models for their kids as they study and play their sport at the same time. It’s when fans of

the institution start donating money to support their universities. One of the primary

motivations for donors is to support and improve the athletic program, as well as to assist

student-athletes (Glandden and Mahony).

According to researchers, behind every athlete, some people take care of them, ensure

they have everything in rule, and receive their scholarships. It is critical for university

administrators to carefully examine empirical data on the effects of college athletics. (Goff

Brian). College athletics offers numerous advantages, including direct financial gain as well as

indirect advantages such as increased university enrollment. Certainly, university executives

responsible for these decisions should consider a broader range of information than can be

obtained solely by analyzing the financial impact of athletics. Many researchers talk about the

benefits of being a college athlete; it helps students to grow as human beings, but recent sports

research has revealed the advantages of racial diversity on teams (Jolly and Thomson).

Despite its obvious importance, understanding effective social support practices

implemented by athletic administrators is limited. It was investigated empirically how athletic

department leadership and staff facilitate socially supportive cultures at their universities (Berg,

Warner, et al). Academic advantages, teamwork, life skills learning, better time management,

and concrete advantages like equipment, facilities, scholarships, and travel were the most well-

liked of these (Paule, Gilson). This research analysis how student’s athletes can be much

involved in their universities and receive a benefit of it. Most of the college athletics have some

benefits that can help them to be more successful during their time in college, some of these

advantages can be like academic benefits, such as early registration to classes, academic

advisors that they can support them with their classes and academic tutors to help them to be

successful in their classes.

Besides the support that colleges students receive from the university. They can put into

work their time management skills, because they need to be able to balance school, life, and

sport. Most of the student athletes must work with time management although they probably

end up stressing up too much because practices, games, and school at the same time.

Regarding the benefits of travel to play at other universities, that sounds like the fun part of

being a college athlete, but you still must do your schoolwork and probably fall behind in most

classes. leadership, team dynamics, and motivational climate in the athletic environment Others

concentrated on personal characteristics such as motivation to perform and participate,

satisfaction, and social status (Tudor). Motivation for Sports and Academics Motivation for

academics and/or athletics based on variables such as sport played, sport visibility, gender, race,

and player status. Some of the student-athletes have dealt with pretty much all of them.

Athlete identities are stronger in institutions that place a greater emphasis on athletics

than in institutions that place a greater emphasis on education (Sturm, Feltz, et al). This is one

of the most common things that every college athlete will discuss since it's their future, so they

have to make the right decision.
