Guided Observation Chart

The Guided Observation Chart is a tool that a teacher-observer can use to


document how a new approach or skill is used while observing a demonstration
teaching. The learning facilitator formulate two to three questions that will guide
the teacher observer in visualizing and understanding an approach or skill while observing a
class. Two questions are provided in the chart as examples.

The learning facilitator provides her peer a copy of the chart during the pre-observation
conference and reminds him/her how to use it. The teacher-observer records his/her answers
to the question of the learning facilitators in the first section of the chart. He/she is
encouraged to think of questions for clarification about the approach or strategy observed.
He/she writes his/her own questions in the second section of the chart.

Our school had Learning Action Cell (LAC) session and would tell the
school/district/division about the topics.

February 28, 2017 3:00 to 5:00 P.M.

Mr. Bernard Cuandot, a TLE teacher of the school.

The teachers’ discussions of the topics were:

Mr. Bernard Cuandot facilitated the Parliamentary Procedures in the LAC


Session; he’d read the agenda of the day.
Mr. Lumayag, the documenter performed a Roll Call; and he informed the
members, the Proof of Due Notice: (1) poster; (2) Paging Section. He declared the
session was in quorum. And he’d read the Minutes of the previous session. Then,
the members considered the previous Minutes of the Meeting. TLE teachers
rendered feedbacks about the LAC suggested topics. Mr. Sulpicio Obiedo asked
the presiding office regarding the topics of ICT Utilization in TLE Department that
they would want to know and use them in teaching. Mr. Lumayag suggested that
these demo topics shall be presented in the next session.
For the unfinished business, Mr. Cuandot informed the members that demo
topics in interactive slide and HTML presentations shall be demonstrated next
time.
The new business of the LAC was the demonstration teaching of Miss
Edith Ronolo in the Automated Instructional Materials for Students (AIMS), a
proposed output of her dissertation paper. Mr. Lumayag demonstrated in the
interactive slides to be used in teaching. And he did demonstrate to teachers on
how to download interactive slides published in the school website. He further
mentioned that teachers can download LAC topics online at
www.dnhs6022.weebly.com.
LAC Session members discussed the problems and they decided to fill them
in the LAC Plan.
The session was adjourned at 5:00 P.M.
