1. Assign (VERB)
- Adding the suffix of (-ment) to the back of root word ‘assign’ will be
‘ASSIGNMENT’.
The word of Assignment will be noun.
Sentence Example:
A. Me and my friends are exhausting after finished the (Assignment) of Guided
Writing about Affixes material.
2. Look (VERB)
- Adding the suffix of (-ing) to the back of root word ‘look’ will be ‘LOOKING’
The word of Looking will be present participle and gerund.
Sentence Example:
A. The boys are shocked of (Looking) for a most beautiful girl in major of English
Literature during the break time of the classes.
3. Careful (ADJECTIVE)
- Adding the suffix of (-ly) to the back of root word ‘Careful’ will be ‘CAREFULLY’
The word of Carefully will be an adverb
Sentence Example:
A. The pandemic of COVID-19 that handled by Indonesian goverment start from
2020 until the end of the pandemic, seems like is not handled serously and
(Carefully).
4. Like (PREPOSTITION)
- Adding the Preffix of (dis-) to the front of root word ‘like’ will be ‘DISLIKE’
The word of Dislike is ‘not like’ (dis) means not
Sentence Example:
A. Most of the people at the Gym, were happy to hiting the (dislike) button if they
see a cringy videos about Gym.
5. Known (NOUN)
- Adding the Preffix of (un-) to the front of root word ‘Known’ will be ‘UNKNOWN’
The word of Unknown is ‘Not known’ (un) means not
Sentence Example:
A. The system that arranged all of the people data and information in Indonesia, has
been hacked by unkown hacker that went viral in Twitter.
6. Girlfriend (NOUN)
- Adding the Preffix of (ex-) to the front of root word ‘girlfriend’ will be ‘Ex-
girlfriend’
The word of (Ex-) that means out of or former, which is ex-girlfriend means former
girlfriend.
Sentence Example:
A. Since we’re broke up, my (Ex-girlfriend) is often to sent me a message that

7. Ordinary (ADJECTIVE)
- Adding the Preffix of (extra-) to the front of root word ‘ordinary’ will be
‘EXTRAORDINARY’

means more than ordinary.

9. Happy (ADJECTIVE)
- Adding the Suffix of (-ness) to the back of rot word ‘happy’ will be ‘HAPPINESS’
The word of (-ness) means state of condition, which the state of condition of happy is
called happiness.
Sentence Example:
A. Me and my friend were watching the comedy films that have a lot of (happiness)
scenes.
10. Act (VERB)
- Adding the suffic of (-ion) to the back of root word ‘act’ will be ‘ACTION’
The word of (-tion) means act of process, which act of process is called action.
Sentence Example:
A. A lot of people is only like to talk and plan, but the most important thing for reach
the plan is taking an (action).
