Business Need:

The E-library for students of College of Engineering, Institute of Information Systems and Technology
(CEIIT) was introduce for them to have guide on their studies especially on this amidst pandemic and because of
the type of learning that we had we don’t get the use of library. This will provide the students of the College of
Engineering, Institute of Information Systems and Technology (CEIIT) an opportunity to advance their studies in
their lessons. Moreover, they will gain knowledge and improve their comprehension, which will help the students
learn better. More importantly, it will benefit the department, especially the students of CEIIT, by becoming more
productive.

Business Requirements:

The establishment of an E-library for CEIIT students will provide convenience that will benefit both the
student and the department.

The website should incorporate the following;

1. The system should have articles that are related to the field of CEIIT;
2. Allow CEIIT students, faculty, and staff easy access;
3. Provide some search capabilities;

Expected Value:

The CEIIT will be the primary beneficiaries of the E-library system. Specifically, the faculty
members, staffs and the students.
It is expected to increase the knowledge and productivity of the students of CEIIT. Additionally,
it will boost the learning capabilities of the students which will help them to grow better.
In addition, the system will be an easy and fastest way to gather information and learn for the
students of CEIIT. As an outcome, the students of CEIIT will become independent in terms of learning.

Special Issues and Constraints

The school appreciate the development of the website as an asset for the whole organization. The
website will serve as the ideal platform for managing CEIIT information and will aid in many of its
maintenance tasks. It decreases management's workload by reducing the amount of manual work
required. However, the study's findings suggest that there are obstacles, such as a lack of proper
knowledge on how to use information retrieval abilities, insufficient user education, a lack of computer
knowledge, and the usage of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the library. Also, College
libraries, which are the largest group of libraries in the country, have also been facing the problem of
poor services, outdated collection of reading materials, financial constraints and inadequate professional
staff.
