1 Business Requirements
1.1 The system should have articles that are related to the field of CEIIT;
1.2 Allow CEIIT students, faculty, and staff easy access;
1.3 Provide some search capabilities;
1.4 The system shall provide each individual an account to access the website

2 User Requirements

2.1 Faculty and Staff

• Manage students who use the e-library
• Manage students who make booking reservations.
• Manage the time and days when a book can be reserved and borrowed.
• Provide book updates.

2.2 CEIIT students

• Student ID number is provided when they register.
• Log in account.
• Search the book.
• Select/Click the Book you want.
• Allow user for Book Reservation
• Allow users to borrow books
• Allow users to read the books whenever they want.
• After finish reading, you can log out

3 Functional Requirements

3.1 User Log-in

• The website will allow user to enter user id and password before they are allowed
to enter the system. The user id and password will be verified and if invalid id is
their user is allowed to not enter the system;
• The user must be able to logout after they finished using system;

3.2 Search and select book

• The website must be able to perform database searches using a variety of search
types;
• The website should be able to filter books by entering a keyword;
• The website will allow user to check to see if the book is available before issuing;
• The website must allow user to select their chosen book;

3.3 Register and Return Book

• The website will allow the user to input the issue and return dates.
• The website must be able to verify information;
• The website must be able to allow users to give an exact time and date to return the
borrowed book;

3.4 Update and Notify Information

• The website will display information on notice board and keep user updated;
• The website will allow user to view incoming updates;

4 Non-functional Requirements

4.1 Operational
• The website is meant to provide a user-friendly environment in which students,
faculties and library personnel may do numerous tasks quickly and efficiently;
• The website should provide real-time notifications to users;

4.2 Performance
• The website should perform member registration, validation, report creation, book
transaction, and search functions accurately;
• The website should be able to enable quarterly updates without harming the user
experience;
• The website should provide synchronized user access occasionally;

4.3 Security
• The website should notify users if there is a new release of books to keep them
updated;
• The website should require user authentication;
• The website should protect all information saved locally;

4.4 Cultural and Political

• The website should protect personal information of users in compliance with the
Data Protection Act; and
• The website should follow the standard operating procedures of the school;
