emergency instructions and act according to
the instructions when the alarm is raised

emergency equipment and be familiar with its
use
• It is essential that personal are properly
trained for emergency operations
• All equipment which may be used in an
emergency must be maintained in good order
and be ready for use at all times
• The correct emergency procedures for
accidents are given in cargo data sheets

1. Raise the emergency alarm
2. Determine location of the fire/explosion
3. Check for oil/hazardous substances, pollution & possibility
