(Blackboard, canvas, and etc.) as a
word document.
b. Create a comic strip
i. Students will log-in to Pixton, and
click “Create a Comic.” There stu-
dents will be able to pick out back-
grounds, characters, and texts to
create a fictional story of their
own.
ii. Comic strips should include:
1. Their name and their part-
ners name in the title
2. Dialogue between charac-
ters
3. More than one setting
4. Main conflict / resolution
5. The theme should relate
to the story
iii. When students are finished they
will click done. Then they will click
share on the top right corner of
the page. After that they will copy
the hyperlink and share it online
(Blackboard, canvas, etc). Teach-
ers may need to help students
with this step.
3. While the students are creating their comic strips,
the teacher will walk around asking students if they
need help. They will also check if students are on
track.
4. When students are done with their comic strip, they
will call the teacher over to review their work.

ii. When they are done, instruct one
of the students to turn both as-
signments online (Blackboard,
canvas, etc.) and to include their
partners first and last name.

accessible through any web browser. It can
be accessed on phones (IOS, Android),
tablets, and computers. It is also free to try.
