UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHWALES MSC PROGRAMME AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Introduction:

My name is Abdul Ahad Malik son of Malik Sajjad Sarwar. I was born on 6 July 1997 in Attock,
Pakistan. Currently residing in Rawalpindi.I have strong aims to achieve my passion and willing to be a
successful figure in society with high morals.

Educational Background and work experience:

Considering my education I have done my Matriculation from Siddeeq Public School (Boys) 6th
Road Satellite Town Rawalpindi in 2013. Then I completed my Intermediate from Punjab College
of Commerce 661-Peshawar Road Rawalpindi Cantt in 2015. After that I have passed my
Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Bahria University Islamabad in 2021. I also
worked as a Game Developer at DMT TECH Sol from 3 February 2021 to 1 March 2021. Here
my responsibilities include 2d/3d Game Development.

Why I approached UK for studies:

I further believe to pursue my education from abroad. Initially, I considered some of the
renowned universities in Pakistan, including the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Although these universities had a high ranking
in Pakistan,but their world ranking is significantly acceptable but not on a demanding scale. This can
be explained by the lack of sufficient research facilities and qualified instructors, as well.
Studying abroad will broaden my horizons in my required field of interest and aid my personal
growth through international exposure. I believe UK is the best place to study for my masters
education as it has a reputed world- class institutions that offer courses in a variety of subject
areas, simpler procedure to apply and get education, affordable fees, diverse culture where
everyone can practice their religious practices fearlessly. Universities in UK have high standard of
education and highly regarded with the world’s best experts and the Teachers. Moreover
universities there have a high ranking internationally. Also, its qualification is recognized
worldwide especially by employers in my home country.

Why thinking of University of Southwales:

I choose to study my Masters in University of Southwales because it offers many facilities to

students, has variety of courses, equipped labs, research facilities, on-campus facilities, and
supporting professors. It has emerging student reviews by local and international students.
Courses offered by this university are integrate with the practical and the theoretical
development and knowledge of the current era. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to find
that this university ranked among the top universities in the UK. And also known as a best
university in research skills and provides diverse opportunities. To be precise the high number of
students enrolled in business studies, management studies and health sciences in this university.

Why MS Project Management:

It took me a bit time to finalize and decided to study MSc Programme and Project Management
since it offers a wide range of abilities that enhance my academic level with new advanced
technology & information. I will be able to learn how to solve complex problems by using suitable
techniques. To emphasize, this course will furnish me with a blend of analytical and problem-
solving techniques. I will not only gain new perspectives and ways of addressing projects by this
course. But also develop other skills like multi-disciplinary skills, resource management skills,
planning skills and leadership skills. These skills will enhance my value to employers. Also the
course at this university is designed according to the current global market.

Future plans:

After completion, I intended to return to Pakistan as it's my home country. With this premier
qualification, I will be in demand for a prestigious career at reputed companies. There is a wide
range of international companies investing in our economy in different sectors. I am confident I
will avail myself of a position as a Project Supervisor, Operation Manger, and Business Manager
immediately with starting salary of around 90, 000-120,000 PKR. On the other hand, local
graduates from my country just receive a starting salary of around 55,000-70,000 PKR. My family
will be the financial sponsor of my education and living throughout my stay in the UK. My visa
conditions are fulfilled, and I have all the required documents to apply for the visa including
valid passport, complete educational documents, and transcripts.
