What is the weather like in

Antarctica? Why?
Antarctica is the coldest desert in the world as well as the
coldest continent known to man. -89.2 degrees C is the lowest
temperature to ever be recorded in Antarctica. Reasons that
the Antarctic is extremely cold include:
 The continent is 10,007.56km away from the equator
which makes it especially cold because Antarctica
receives sun rays at a very low angle against a huge
surface area
 The albedo effect in Antarctic allows ice sheets to
reflect 85% of the small amount of sunlight received
