Dear Professor Ambreen,

I have recently applied for admissions in the PhD program at various universities across the
world but have got an opportunity from University of NZ State, New Zealand to pursue PhD
degree in the field of management, at a 30% scholarship in school fees. They have requested for
two recommendation letters from prior professors of MBA and I immediately thought of you, at
first.

I had greatly enjoyed and benefited from the five courses that I opted and learned from you over
the past years, back in 2014-2016, it has been around five years now, but I was hoping that you
might know me well due to our after class discussion on case studies and my capabilities enough,
to write a general recommendation letter for my successful admission in the PhD program.

As you may also recall, I took Principles of Management, Managing Human Capital, Learning &
Development, Management & Organizational Dynamics, and Recruitment & Selection during
Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015 and Fall 2016 (02 courses), respectively. I was fascinated
about the theories and concepts of human resource management and was encouraged by you to
zeal in the domain of HR. I had also submitted two (02) research papers, on the topics linked
with motivation at work and changing trends in HR, on which you further recommended me to
present them in the front of the panel, when we had a competition among different universities of
Karachi.

Since then, I had a spark of gaining more and more knowledge in this domain and open different
avenues to establish strong managerial systems as well as initiate the basis of international HR
analytics/systems for the reflection of true picture of employee related parameters immediately.
But unfortunately, I was unable to get scholarship for my PhD program, due to the Covid 19
restrictions across the globe and currently, by the grace of God, I have got an opportunity of 30%
scholarship at a leading university in New Zealand to pursue my dreams. After my post-
graduation, I had got a chance to work in Engro Corp. and have grown there exponentially as
well as learned a lot from this organization after a tenure of five (05) years, but now I have
finally decided to go back towards academia to get the last feather of PhD degree in my cap.

For your convenience I have enclosed a stamped and preaddressed envelope. Mr. Lee Wallick in
the admissions department needs your letter by 15 th of January 2022. My research papers are also
enclosed to refresh your memory, along with my resume, to update you about some of my
accomplishments outside of the classroom.
I appreciate your time and effort for writing a letter of recommendation for me and I will surely
keep you informed about my progress. I would be happy to answer any questions and provide
any further information, if required, that can help you in this regard. Thank you for
