Cách thành lập đuôi câu hỏi: Statement Tag question 1. Dùng “to be” dùng “to be” Ex: She is tall, isn’t she? 2. Dùng modal verb dùng modal verb Ex: He can’t swim, can he? 3. Dùng động từ thường ở hiện tại đơn mượn “do hoặc does” Ex: He comes to school, doesn’t he? 4. Dùng động từ thường ở quá khứ đơn mượn “did” Ex: The cat ate the fish, didn’t it?
Một số chú ý khi thành lập đuôi câu hỏi:
- Nếu đuôi câu hỏi ở thể phủ định: phải viết dạng rút gọn (VD: isn’t, can’t, don’t, haven’t….) - Chỉ dùng đại từ nhân xưng trong đuôi câu hỏi: I, you, he, she, it, we, they (ngoại trừ THERE) * Notes: Một số trường hợp đặc biệt: Statement Tag question 1. I am…. aren’t I? Ex: I am a teacher, aren’t I? 2. Let’s …….. shall we? Ex: Let’s go outside, shall we? 3. Don’t be late, will you? Take it away now, will you? 4. Chủ từ là no one / nobody / nothing, đuôi câu hỏi ở thể hay trong câu có never/ seldom/hardly khẳng định Ex: Nothing is special, is it? 5. Chủ từ là everyone/ everybody/ dùng đại từ THEY anyone/anybody/ no one/ nobody/people thay thế Ex: Everyone speaks English, don’t they? 6. Chủ từ là something/ nothing/ dùng đại từ IT thay everything thế Ex: Everything is OK, isn’t it? 7. Chủ từ là this / that dùng đại từ IT Ex: This is your son, isn’t it? Chủ từ là these / those dùng đại từ THEY Ex: These are your books, aren’t they?
II. GERUND AFTER SOME VERBS:
Gerund (V-ing) được dùng sau: 1. Các động từ: - begin, start, postpone, stop, finish - like, love, prefer, dislike, hate - enjoy, keep, mind, practice, avoid, suggest, deny, regret, consider, admit, waste, spend, imagine, remember, forget, allow,… 2. Sau giới từ: Ex: I am interested in reading book. 3. Sau các cụm từ: to be busy, to be worth, have fun, be/get used to, look forward to,…
