responding in a timely manner to the mails sent by DGIST
▶ All information must be entered correctly on the application form. Admission can be revoked if
written items differ from facts, or in the case where the applicants have failed to disclose any fact
which may have a significant impact on their admission
▶ Applicants who do not participate in the admission interview will be disqualified
▶ Applicants who have received acceptance notification from more than one university, must choose
only one university. If not, the admission will be revoked
▶ Admitted students are not permitted to defer admission to a later semester
▶ Any matter not specified in the admission guide is subject to the decision of DGIST Admission committee

 Ⅱ Guidelines for Application Process

STEP1 LOGIN & START APPLICATION

► Go to ‘Study in Korea’ and login and click ‘Online Application’
※ Study in Korea Website : https://studyinkorea.go.kr/en/main.do

► Select ‘DGIST’ & click

 STEP2 MAJOR SELECT
► Select ‘College of Transdisciplinary Studies’

STEP3 ENTER PERSONAL INFORMATION

► Enter applicant’s personal information

※ International Undergraduate program is for people who only have studied OUTSIDE
OF KOREA. Korean nationals are not eligible to apply.
※ If an applicant was born in Korea and is currently holding a non-Korean citizenship,
must check ‘Country of birth’ as Korea.

 STEP4 ENTER CONTACT INFORMATION
► Enter contact information of both applicant and guardian

※ Emergency contact information must be entered with contact information of applicant’s

(legal)guardian

 STEP5 ENTER FAMILY INFORMATION
► Enter information for both parents. Use to enter information of
each parent

STEP6 ENTER EDUCATION HISTORY

► Enter information for all educational backgrounds(Primary/Middle/High).
Use to enter information. Diplomas for every education are
mandatory.

※ Total year of your education period must be entered

 STEP7 ENTER PERSONAL STATEMENT(SOP)
► Read the instruction in the box, and write your SOP.
※ SOP must be written within 1,000 words

STEP8 ENTER OTHER SPECIFICS

► Mandatory information
1)English proficiency test score

2)Scholastic aptitude test score

※ At least 1 scholastic aptitude test score must be submitted

※ ‘National Exam’ indicates nation-wide exams for university entrance at the country
of the applicant.
※ If applicant has multiple score reports, it is up to the applicant to decide
which/how many score reports will be submitted
※ Both score reports must be submitted, otherwise applicants will be disqualified
► Optional Information : 1)Extracurricular Activities (up to 5)
2)Honors & awards (up to 5)
3)Recommender information(1 only)

 STEP9 UPLOAD PHOTO & DOCUMENTS
► Please upload applicant photo (.jpg format is recommended)
► Documents must be merged into one-PDF file, which is downsized
under 10MB. Checklist must be included, otherwise the application
will be disqualified
※ Click to download the checklist form

STEP10 APPLY
► Click to finalize your application. Please keep mind that if
mandatory documents & information are not properly provided, final
submission will not be possible
► Click to temporarily save your application. Your application will be
received only the application is finalized
