2. Motivation
· Instruct students to close their eyes, let them imagine the different business
that they have seen while roaming around the city. Ask them to give at least
four businesses based on what they had in mind
Ø What is the different business you’ve seen while roaming around the
city?
Ø What are the names of those businesses?
3. Presentation
Types of Business Ownership
1. Sole Proprietorship- a business that is owned and managed by one person
he can call Sole Proprietor or Sole trader. He is the only person who has
authority over his business. He owned all the things in his business and the
one who faced all struggles in his business
Example: ALING LALA’S SARI SARI STORE

2. Partnership- a business that is owned by two or more people, known as a


partner that has an agreement to divide the profit of their business.
Example: ANDY and NIMFA BARBERSHOP

3. Corporation- a business that is formed by not less than five persons who
are called the stockholders or shareholders. Corporation is a more complex
form of a business organization.
Example: GENERAL NATIVIDAD CORPORATION

4. Cooperative- a business that consists of fifteen members that are part of


capital and profit. Their aim is to give products and services to the members
in low amounts.
Example: MATAAS NA KAHOY MULTI PURPOSE COOPERATIVE
4. Application Group Activity Differentiates the types of business.
For group 1 the differences between Sole Proprietorship and Partnership and for group
2 the differences between Corporation and Cooperative
