Our lesson for today is about Carpentry

tools.

So what is carpentry? Anybody?

Okay so carpentry is The meaning of

carpentry can be defined as the art of
working with timber in order to construct
and maintain buildings, furniture and
other objects.

There are many types of carpentry

1st is we have the rough carpenter
doesn't require a neat finish as it
will be covered up by walls or CLASS ACTIVELY LISTENING”

2nd is we have the finish carpenter
Finish carpentry refers to all
carpentry work that will be visible
once a building has been
completed and, as such, finish
carpenters work to a high level of

Now lets elaborate the different

tools used in carpentry and these
are the following:

Claw Hammer: a hammer with

one side of the head split and
curved, used for extracting nails.

Bar Clamp: A bar clamp is mainly

used in woodworking or metalworking
projects to keep large pieces of wood or
metal securely in place to join them
together permanently.

Spoke shave: Spokeshaves

are one of the essentials of manual
woodworking. They're used to
smooth out edges and create round
shapes for objects such as chair
legs or bows and arrows.

Steel square: Also known as a

steel square, the Johnson framing
square is a handy tool for carpentry.
Its uses extend into framing and
laying rafters and stairs.

Bask saw: a handsaw that is

stiffened by metal reinforcement
along the upper edge

Push pull rule: A push-pull

ruler is a tape measure that
can be wrapped together in
a compact case. It is used
to measure long, short and
straight lengths. . The body
of the tape measure is the
case.

Scribe-compasses is an
instrument used by
carpenters and other
tradesmen. Some
compasses can be used to
draw circles, bisect angles
and, in this case, to trace a
line

triangle: A speed square, also called a

rafter square, rafter angle square, and
triangle square, is a multi-purpose
triangular carpenters' tool use for marking
out.
