CONCEPT NOTE FOR MEDICINE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISORS (MMS’) IN

AMUDAT, MOROTO, NAPAK, NABILATUK AND NAKAPIRIPIRIT.

Activity Code: Facilitate MMS’ to support facilities to complete and timely send NMS bi-monthly TB
commodity orders and reports using NMS+ CSSP.

General Background

Karamoja region with support from USAID PACT Karamoja is working towards improving
Tuberculosis case detection, TPT completion and treatment success rates to meet the National targets for
reducing the TB burden. As per of the project support to ensure constant availability of Key TB
commodities, USAID PACT-Karamoja supports Districts through Medicine Management Supervisors to
support health facilities compile and submit quality bi-monthly TB commodities’ orders that are there
after entered into the online National Medical Store’s system.

Activity Objectives:
 To mentor HCWs on proper quantification and submission of bimonthly orders and reports for
NMS cycle 1 FY 22/23.

Implementation Methodology

The activity will be conducted in Amudat, Moroto, Napak, Nakapiripirit, and Nabilatuk districts. MMSs
will be facilitated to support health facilities to complete and timely send NMS bi-monthly TB
commodity orders and reports NMS+ CSSP and do order verification for cycle 6. The MMS’ will be
facilitated with SDA and transport refund.
