CONCEPT NOTE FOR NMS CLIENT SELF SERVICE PORTAL TRAINING ON

ORDERING & REPORTING IN KAMPALA

Activity Code: Facilitates MMS to support facilities to complete and timely send NMS bi-monthly TB
commodity orders and reports using TWOS and to do order verification

General Background
Karamoja region with support from USAID PACT Karamoja is working towards improving
Tuberculosis case detection, TPT completion and treatment success rates to meet the National
targets for reducing the TB burden. Participating in the NMS client self-service portal (CSSP)
training will enable the pharmacy logistics team in PACT Karamoja to supports the logistics
management systems at facility and district level & offers technical support and guidance to
ensure that safe, effective, efficacious, and quality medical supplies are available in enough
quantities whenever they are required through quality ordering and reporting timely.

Activity Objectives:
 To participate in the roll out of NMS+ CSSP to lower health facilities and offer
technical guidance and support to the health facility and district health teams on
appropriate, timely and quality orders.

Implementation Methodology
The project will support one (1) pharmacy logistics officers (PLO) to participate in a five-days
training on NMS client self service portal (CSSP) for ordering & reporting of TB commodities
and other supplies targeting HC IIIs and IIs in Karamoja to be held at Nakapiripirit Hill view hotel
for Nakapiripirit and Nabilatuk district. The project staff (PLO) will be facilitated with perdiem
and return day allowance as stipulated in the activity budget.

 Support the rollout of client self-service portal training to supported facilities
