CHAPTER 1

Introduction

Pastillas is a dessert made of skim milk, which is usually made of carabaos milk,

hardened and made into a circular shape candy or a pill. This dessert is also called

pastillas de Leche, which means milk pills.

This sweet delicacy is known to have originated in Bulacan. And of course, this is

because of the Spanish influence since they used to supply various goods here and

there.

Assorted Pastillas is a simple business venture that sells various pastillas, candy,

and desserts, highlighting special pastillas filled with different toppings. The Pastillas is

a well-known, well-loved delicacy in the Philippines made from milk and sugar, and a

little kitchen easily distinguishes its unique sweet and milky taste in making and serving

food.

The idea of starting an assorted pastillas business is to provide sweets to people

that will lighten their taste buds with the delicious flavors of pastillas. Serving pastillas

with only one flavored is a bit boring, which is why assorted pastillas are the new trend

nowadays, wherein people can buy one serving with different flavors.

Assorted pastillas have two variations: flavored pastillas and special stuffed

pastillas, which people can pick that suit their taste.
