Hint: You may use the following formulas in your answers

n = fp / 6 Pfa = 1 / B Tfa G= =

 (S/N)1= A + 0.12 AB + 1.7 B [numeric], where A = ln(0.62/ Pfa) &

 B = ln( Pd / (1-Pd) )
 (S/N)n= - 5 Log10( n) + [ 6.2 + (4.54 / (n + 0.44) ½) ] . Log10(A +0.12 AB + 1.7 B) dB
 Ii(n) = (S/N)1 / (S/N)n

1- Write down the equation of the maximum radar range R max and the
(S/N)min and define all variables in this equation. And show the effect of
each element in equation

2- Write down the equation of the noise power at the output of a radar
receiver whose noise figure (Fn), noise bandwidth (Bn) and operating at
ambient temperature (TO).
3- Derive the relationship between Rmax and (S/ N)min for a pulse radar.

transmitted power.

5- If the time taken by the pulse to travel from Radar to the target is 2000 μ
sec, and if the pulse power is one MW, calaulate and the average power
(KW) and the rader range (km)?

6- If Pmin is 10-12 w, calculate the maximum range of Radar system which

operates at three cm wavelength with peak power of five hundred
kilowatts where the effective area of it’s antenna and cross section area
of target are five meter square and twenty meter square, respectively.

7- Radar has average transmitter power is 100W, the pulse width of the
transmitted pulses is 1μs and its pulse repetition frequency is 2000 Hz,
Calculate the resolution in range, the maximum unambiguous range and
the peak power of the transmitter?

wavelength with peak power of 500 kw, if Pmin is 10-12 w, the effective
area of it’s antenna is 5 m square. and cross section area of target is 20 m
