Personal Statement.

Accounting and Finance has always been an exciting course and I am always
excited by the experience of it. Right from my childhood years, I have always had an
interest to undertake an instructing and mind-blowing profession. When I was much
younger, I started to develop a passion for book-keeping in as I was influenced by
frequent visit to banking environment with my parents, on enquiry I was advice to
develop interest in calculation and booking-keeping as this is the bedrock of the
accounting profession. I am applying for this course to gain adequate knowledge and
the requisite industry experience to face the sharp realities of the present business
environment. My desire is informed by my determination to improve and better my
lots academically, socially, economically and overall to widen my horizon in our
global competitive financial environment with is required in the private and public
sector of the economy. More so, I seek a programme that allows specialization and
training in areas within the chosen specialty, hence, this programme.

From my search of a schools that offer accounting and finances related courses,
University of Wolverhampton stands out in the United Kingdom and in the world
rating in the community of universities and in addition, to academic excellence in the
teaching/learning process. The university is few kilometers from London the heart of
England and the United Kingdom accessible to all and most importantly, it fees for an
international student is moderate as at today given the quality of knowledge
impartation and acceptability of her graduates in key positions in Nigeria and the
world at large. More so, I am endeared to this course and the university more
because of the course innovation finance which is an addition to accounting I studied
in my first degree. Which explain the present reality that international perspective on
our present global environment.

I look forward to contributing to the success of this programme if I am granted

admission. I am eager to relate my academic and professional experiences coupled
with my unique culture and background to bear during classroom activities and
learning outcomes. I am also willing to learn and understand the course in varying
perspective from the diverse body of students so as to form expert opinions and
through learning with people from different multi-cultural background, I hope to
become a global citizen in celebration of diversity. I am an accounting graduate from
University Of Benin, Benin city, Edo State, Nigeria. I have over eight years of work
experience here in Nigeria across Banking, business and different sector of our
economic life.
