Title: ‘Investigate management controls applied by a selected


organization and critically evaluate their appropriateness in
achieving related objectives.

Guidelines for the task assigned: ( Analysis part )


(1) ▪ Identify the nature of business, organization structure, vision, mission, goals,

& system/s.

(2) ▪ Evaluate the support of existing management control system/s in achieving
organizational objectives. (Focusing on strengths and weaknesses, achieving
cause and effect relationships, cost benefit criterion, etc. with these systems)
(3) ▪ Evaluate the level of satisfaction with existing management control

▪ Format of the report


o No. of pages: 12-15 pages
o Page size: A4
o Font & size: Times New Roman, 12
o Line spacing: 1.5
o Margins: 1" each side

▪ Important Dates and information for the submission:


o Submission of the final Report: Friday of Session (Week) 14

o A soft copy of the report should be uploaded into the Leaning
Management System (LMS).
o A hard copy of the report should be submitted to the Department of
Accountancy, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of
Ruhuna.
