This is a team assignment in which your team is required to produce a project progress report
from Assignment 1. The progress report is to be presented at a meeting with senior company
management. It is an internal company project report and its details will be kept strictly
confidential.
Your team has been asked by the bid manager to prepare a complete BQ, project scheduling
and risk analysis with proposed allowances and contingencies to include in the bid.
Note: This assignment is to be all your own work. Refer to student notices on Canvas regarding
plagiarism and unfair advantage. In particular, if you copy another students work, or if you
allow another student to copy your work, even with modifications, then both of you risk being
penalised by losing some or all of your marks in addition to other consequences that may be
imposed upon you.

Team Organization
This is a team assignment and the best results will be achieved in the shortest time if you
allocate tasks to team members and then review the individual results as a team. It is in your
best interest to present a well thought out project progress executive summary and report.
The following are suggestions as to how the assignment tasks could possibly be divided up
amongst team members.
Team Coordinator: Assembles the final progress report and drafts the executive summary
for team review.
Cost analyst: Complete the report (BQ) with pricing.
Scheduler: Determine a likely completion progress or duration for the project. Prepare a Gantt
Chart.
Risk Manager: List, analyse and mitigate the risks associated with the project.

Assumptions
1. Site preparation is carried out after preliminaries.
2. Construction of warehouse and office is carried out after site preparation is done.
3. Installation of roller shutter is carried out after the floor slab, truck apron and
crossover are cured.
4. Utilities and fit out are carried out after the floor slab of the office is cured.
Electrical utilities takes 6 days to complete. Sanitary plumbing takes 5 days to
complete. Office amenities fit out takes 10 days to complete.
5. Landscaping is carried out after the completion of warehouse and office.
Landscaping includes relocate site office and temporary facilities takes 3 days,
concrete curb and cure takes 12 days, fill garden topsoil takes 7 days and
planting takes 7 days.
6. Cleanup for handover takes 7 days to complete after landscaping.
