 I. Introduction

Organic products are a basis for an environmentally responsible development of our

community. It is said that natural cosmetics are more in these days worldwide. This research can
benefit both physical and environmental needs, this is because I am aiming to produce a 100%
natural lip balm that doesn’t contain any chemically hazardous ingredients. By producing an
organic and eco-friendly lip balm, this can utilize the increase demand of people switching from
trash product into a sustainable product. What’s great about the production of this lip balm is that
I am also aiming for a recyclable packaging, making it 100% organic eco-friendly to all.

II. Body:

A. Purpose

The purpose of creating an organic eco-friendly lip balm using beeswax is to test its
efficiency as a community cosmetic that [1] acts as a protective barrier between the skin and any
environmental stressors. [2] Maintains hydration without clogging pores, intensely nourishing
while allowing your skin to breathe. [3] Nourishes the skin softening. [4] Has anti-inflammatory
and antibacterial properties that can heal, protect, and prevent damage to your lips posed by
external pressures such as UV light, pollution, and extreme temperatures. [5] They are
environmentally friendly because they are free of chemicals and pesticides, and the ingredients
are biodegradable. [6] Used as a basic component since it helps to seal in moisture and shield the
lips from the surroundings. [7] Aims to not refer their products to animal testing and use only
natural ingredients to care for the environment.

B. Rationale

The goal of making a lip balm using beeswax is to see if beeswax is an efficient ingredient in
making an organic lip balm free of chemical and toxic ingredients. This study will also look into
whether beeswax seals in moisture and protects against dryness. This study will also look into
whether Beeswax can assist to build a barrier between the lips and the environment, making it
perfect for use in windy or cold weather. The major objective of this is to enable individuals to
look for high-quality products that can benefit both their health and the environment. Due to the
serious pollution in the world, merely manufacturing and purchasing organic eco-friendly lip
balms can make a big difference.

III. Project Description

Beeswax is a natural and sustainable ingredient used to make organic, eco-friendly lip balms.
This indicates that it is an environmentally friendly substitute for synthetic, mineral oil-based
waxes and other goods. A by-product of the extraction of honey is beeswax. There are no
chemical ingredients in this beeswax-based lip balm, making it safe for the environment. Both
the product and the packaging are organic and biodegradable. Because of its compact and energy
efficiency, it is extremely convenient and useful. To treat chapped lips and avoid using harsh
chemicals that are bad for the body, use organic lip balms. These organic lip care essentials are
made from common natural ingredients like aloe vera, beeswax, and shea butter, making them
safe for both humans and the environment to use as an ingredient in a cosmetic.

IV. Budget/Support

The cost of carrying out the experiment on the efficiency of beeswax as an ingredient in
making an organic eco-friendly lip balm is estimated to be roughly ₱1,540. The ingredients listed
below are enough to make approximately ten lip balms to make the community cosmetic
possible.
