DIY PROJECT KIT PLANS

CONSOLE TABLE
If you’re looking for a table that combines good looks with versatility, this
console table fills the bill. Its slender shape makes it perfect for a variety
of places in a home, whether that’s along a wall, in a hall or entryway, or
along the back of a couch.

The open shelf and top are great for display, and the design allows you
to create a table that will match your style. You could paint it or stain it,
or do a combination of painted legs with stain on the top and shelf for a
distinctive look.

However you decide to finish your table, you’ll appreciate how easy it is to
build. We’ll walk you through the process step by step.

Tips for working with your project plan:

• Before you begin building your project, read through the plan completely to ensure that you’ll know what to
expect as you proceed, and so that you understand all of the steps in the process.
• As you build the Console Table, keep the following in mind:
• The Console Table is built from a combination of plywood and boards. You can cut the plywood pieces
using your Rip-Cut™, but not the boards. The Rip-Cut™ isn’t designed for cutting boards.
• To cut the boards, you’ll need a way to make accurate crosscuts. A miter saw works best, though
you can also use a circular saw with a guide to help move the saw in a straight line that is perpendicular
to the edge of the board.
• Before you begin building, you may want to practice using your tools with some scrap material to become
familiar with their usage.
