1. What do you think are the two most significant qualities of a translator? Explain why.

Passion and translation skills are, in my opinion, the two most important qualities
that a translator should possess. Since translation can be stressful, a competent translator
must have a passion for language. They must have a strong passion for language and
translation that motivates them despite the pressure. They are dedicated to constant
improvement and optimization and take pride in their work. Many translators are native
speakers of many languages or were raised in bilingual environments. Qualified
translators must have a level of fluency that allows them to communicate and understand
the languages they translate at a near-native level if they are not native speakers. As
translators, they must be fluent in not only basic language but also specialized terminology
and subtle changes in tone that can radically change the meaning of a word or phrase.
Regional differences and dialects should be studied by translators because they can have
a substantial impact on comprehension.

2. Discuss the main purpose of back translation in the education system.

Back translation is critical in our educational system since it is frequently used to

assess the general quality of a previously completed translation, find discrepancies in
meaning between the source and target text, and identify missing lines in the target. Even
though both of these procedures strive to create a correct translation, the back translation
process differs from traditional translation in that it begins with the translation itself rather
than a source text.
