Educational toys for children who are facing learning difficulties

The selected product are toys which are designed specifically for children with learning
difficulties. The product will have two types, the first is for number learning and the second
design or letter learning. The product was selected after studying and clearly understanding of
the successful key including customer’s needs and wants, market place, and another factors
as the type of products sold and customer preferences.
In reference to the customer needs, Ekin (2018) argued that the needs of customers can
be satisfied through toys within designs combine play and learning in line with the
exceptional circumstances of children with learning difficulties. However, the customer’s
needs are highly diverse as the toys shall be paired with the physical need to ensure that the
toy design is consistent with the physical skills of children of this age, as well as the
psychological need to ensure that the designs are examined to reconcile play and learning
periods (Al Jabery & Zumberg, 2008). So, the selection of this product will comply with all
of the above needs as it have diverse designed and based on the latest statistical research in
this field. Furthermore, the customer’s wants is presented as the combination between the
educational and learning activities which is satisfied through the diverse styles abd designed
of this product. In reference to the Jordanian market, almost a quarter of children who are in 5
to 9 age are facing learning difficulties in reading the numbers and letters (Abu-hamour &
Al-Hmouz, 2014). This statistical value enhance the decision of selection this specific
product. There is also vital information regarding customer feedback about the toys currently
available in the market, most of which are represented in not fulfilling the requirements and
desires of parents in the ideal designs of toys that combine play and learning for children with
learning difficulties. Another factor that encouraged the choice of this product is the presence
of a large segment of users of this product. Two groups of customer is identified, the
individual and the institution customers. Individual customers who are almost the parents of
children. And the institution where the second segment is the institution customers which is
related to the institutions that concerned with educating the children with learning difficulties.
However, it worth to indicated that this sector of the customers is growing up at 7% per year
(Bataineh, 2009).
Finally, this product will satisfy the customer value which is considered as the key of
success while it designed to meet customer needs as well as offer value to the customer
money.
