C. Discussion

LESSON 1
Basically, in the field of learning and research education, students usually use two kinds of
materials or sources of information that manifest and strengthen the context’s credibility. These
are the print and non-print materials. In this lesson, the print source will be discussed first.

A print source is exactly as its name suggests - material that has been printed and can be
reproduced in a hard copy. Examples of print sources are books, magazines, scholarly journals,
and newspapers.

Below are images that show the print materials.

LESSON 2

According to Collins Dictionary, non-print materials are published in a format other than print or
paper. Take a printed copy of newspaper for example. The earliest it can report a story is one day
later than the occurrence of the event due to printing and delivery. Online news on the other
hand, gives reports as they happen. Non-print is more interactive because it allows the readers to
see other related stories through links at the side. It is also more convenient especially for e-book
readers, it can hold up to 200 books.

This kind of material gives the comfort and effortless activity to the reader. This is even less time
consuming because it is accessible anytime and anywhere.

Here are also some images of the non-print materials:

These are some non-print sources or materials

Non-Print Sources. A non-print source can include, but is not limited to, any of the following: -
a television or radio program, a personal interview, a class lecture and a recording.

D. Generalization
- What are the importance of printed and Non-Printed materials in disseminating information?
- How are we going to live if there are no such things as printed and non-printed materials for
spreading useful information and everyday communication?

E. Application
- Teacher will ask the students to give five examples of Printed Materials and another five
examples of Non-Printed materials.
