Primary research task sheet…

You are required to conduct a survey with a sample size of at least ten people, asking them
the three questions listed in task one. Complete the other tasks on here which follow it and
place them on your website in the “Research” section. Call the document/information you
produce for this sheet your PRIMARY RESEARCH.

TASK ONE:
Question 1: Name an example of an animation or scene which has made you feel
HAPPY. Explain WHY it did.
- “How to train your dragon: Because it had such a happy ending which personally
emotional as Hiccup’s father and the whole village accepted that not all dragons are bad
after seeing Toothless trying to protect Hiccup from harm.”
- “Peter fighting the chicken because it goes on for so long which makes it funny as well as
whenever the chicken makes noises when it’s in serious pain.”
- “Star Wars Rebels: Whenever Ezra, Zeb and Chopper argue”
- “In attack on titan when the main character realised that he was finally free”
Question 2: Name an example of an animation or scene which has made you feel SAD.
Explain WHY it did.
-When Toothless was taken from Hiccup after trying to save him from another dragon
then Hiccup and his dad had a fight about everything that had happened.
- “Family Guy: When Brian dies because I liked the character.”
- “Inside out when Bing Bong sacrificed himself for Riley.”
- “When Aunt May died in the Spider-am ps4 game”
Question 3: Name an example of a piece of audio you feel really added to an animation. It
could be a sound effect, voice actor, ambience or music. (U5, LO1, AC1.2)
-Toothless and Hiccup are bonding through drawing and Toothless showed Hiccup that he
started to trust him after having such a rocky start.
-Classic sounds of falling, dropping, fighting and hitting sounds
-Background music in general
-In Dragon Ball super in the movie when Goku was fighting Beerus, the voice acting was
amazing and you could hear a lot of emotion in the characters voices

Explain how you are going to ask these questions, how you will record the answers and
how you will represent them on your Weebly page.

TASK TWO:
Question 1: How are you going to ask these questions? (hint: methods of reaching
your audience)
 I use would use Microsoft Forms to send to people then I’m able to see who said
what
Question 2: How will you record the answers?
 I would directly type them up onto Weebly or record them on a word document
and then move the document onto Weebly.
Question 3: How will you interpret them and present this on your Weebly page?
 Either put in the word document into a scribd box or type it on sections directly on
the Weebly page woth the questions above.

TASK THREE:
When you’ve completed the survey, show evidence of it on Weebly. This could
include:
 screen grabs of the questions and results
 A URL/link to the survey.

TASK FOUR:

Write a short conclusion about what you’ve learnt from each question (maybe a common
pattern or trait?) and how the answers to each question might help you develop your
animation ideas.
