I. Location (HELENA)
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori is located at #16-20 Camdas Subdivision, Baguio City.
Allow us to show you our strikingly beautiful but modest OLMCM campus.
II. Physical Plant and Facilities
A. School Entrance/Exit and Parking Area (CHESKA)
- Built with handwashing facilities and thermal scanners for virus mitigation. Entrance and
Exit Points ensure safe and convenient mobility.
B. Buildings
1. Elementary Building
1.1. Classrooms (DYAN)
- There are eleven (11) classrooms in the elementary building. Each classroom
is modern, comfortable, well-lighted, and well-ventilated with an interactive
whiteboard and full internet access so lessons can be conducted from
teachers’ laptops where required. An audio-visual screen and wall fans are
also installed to help make learning more engaging.
1.2. President/Directress’ Office (ROSECLERE)
- Ms. Dona Digna S. Rosario, Our President/Directress, sets policies, planning,
managing, and coordinating the programs and activities of OLMCM in general.
The President/ Directress provides overall leadership to OLMCM activities in
both administrative and extra-curricular matters. With a unique and critical
perspective on the “lifelong mission” of the school, the President/Directress is
responsible for providing leadership in identifying the needs and opportunities
of the leadership. The Directress/President is assisted by the Administrative
Team, who shares in the overall direction of the school’s activities.
- In carrying out these responsibilities, the President/Directress stays informed
about program priorities and accomplishments through regular meetings,
discussions, and briefing sessions with faculty members and staff in her
office.
1.3. Cashier (LOIS)
- The cashier’s office handles all the day-to-day financial transactions of the
school. The cashier services include processing of payments, tax-related
transactions, payroll, remittances, learners accounts, and preparation of
budget summaries and financial reports.
1.4. Wellness Clinic (MARQUIS)
- The Wellness Clinic is equipped with observation beds, a dental chair, and
sufficient medicines for common illnesses.
- The services rendered by the Wellness Clinic include: Consultation,
Emergency, and First Aid Management, Clinic Confinement, Health Teachings,
and Medical/Health Programs.
OLMCM depends on the expertise of a registered nurse. While routine first aid
is administered by the school nurse, any emergency is referred to the nearby
Hospital.
1.5. Elementary Department Administrative Office (MATTHEW)
- The Elementary Department Administrative Office is part of the Administrative
Team whose function is to provide leadership, direction, and coordination
within the Elementary Department.
- The Elementary Department Administrative Office’s main focus is to develop
and maintain effective educational programs within the school and to promote
the improvement of the teaching and learning experience.
- The Elementary Department Administrative Office is equipped with tables,
cozy chairs, and desktop computers.
1.6. Printing Room (ZACH)
- The Printing Room is a design and print hub accessible to the faculty. The
Printing Room offers high-quality printing, copying, and finishing services to
all Carmelian faculty. It is equipped with professional-grade laser and inkjet
printers, a laminator, binding equipment, a cutting system, high-end desktop
computers for graphic design work, and a RISO digital printing machine for
printing study materials and exam papers.
1.7. Playground (DANIELLE)
- The school has a play area that is provided with appropriate recreational
equipment to satisfy the recreational needs of the learners for fun and
entertainment.
1.8. Faculty Rooms (CHESKA)
- There are two faculty rooms in the elementary department, the Second Floor
Faculty (for Grades 1-4 teachers), and the Third Floor faculty (for Grades 5-6
teachers). It is where teachers can blow off steam, de-stress, share insights
and observations, conduct small and large group discussions, lend support,
collaborate, brainstorm, share curriculum ideas and voice their opinions about
school and educational issues. The teachers are provided with tables,
comfortable chairs, teaching materials, and a wireless internet connection that
supports them in their mission to perform with excellence.
1.9. Comfort Rooms (HELENA)
- Cleanliness is consistently maintained in the comfort rooms on all floors. The
comfort rooms are conveniently located for learners.
2. High School Building (DYAN)
- Functionally designed and constructed of strong, durable materials to
withstand earthquakes, typhoons, and fire.
2.1. Classrooms (ROSCLERE)
- Classrooms are conducive to learning since they are spacious, well-lighted,
and well-ventilated, with an adequate supply of educational materials and
multimedia resources. There are thirteen (13) classrooms in the High School
Building. Each classroom can accommodate thirty (30) learners. The
classrooms have two doors each to meet the building requirement as well as
sufficient windows to provide adequate lighting and natural ventilation.
Natural light is controlled and supplemented with artificial light. Wall fans,
chalkboards, and an audio-visual screen are installed to facilitate a meaningful
learning experience.
2.2. High School Grounds (MARQUIS)
- The Highschool Grounds serve as a parking area for those who need to
transact business in the school office for more than ten (10) minutes. It can
accommodate twenty-five (25) vehicles.

2.3. Learning Resource Center (LOIS)


- The Learning Resource Center (LRC) has a wide selection of serials,
references, and circulation materials to meet the needs of the school
personnel and learners. A developmental program of library skills, literature
appreciation, and research skills is taught. Learners are encouraged to borrow
books to foster a healthy reading habit and satiate the inquisitive mind. The
LRC is managed by highly qualified library personnel.
In addition, the LRC is open from Mondays to Fridays, at recess time,
lunchtime, and at dismissal, for all learners to visit for self-directed activities,
such as quiet reading and mindful drawing.
Special LRC events such as storytelling, character book parade, and book
scavenger hunt are also held throughout the school year.
2.4. Isolation Room (pictures) (MATTHEW)
- It is paramount to put safety first as learners and school staff prepare to
return amidst all the concerns of the coronavirus. An isolation area in the high
school grounds where medical care is provided means learners displaying
symptoms of COVID-19 can safely remain isolated until they are picked up.
2.5. Computer Laboratory (ZACH)
- The Computer Laboratory is equipped with WIFI and computer units with a
significant 1:1 learner to computer ratio. It features up-to-date software and
hardware installations geared towards developing technologically and globally
competent learners. All the laboratories in this building are equipped with

2.6. Kitchen Laboratory (DANIELLE)
- The Kitchen Laboratory is provided with sinks, stoves, and utensils needed for
food preparation activities. The teacher-in-charge can conduct lectures and
hands-on activities right inside the Kitchen Laboratory.
2.7. Physical Science Laboratory (HELENA)
- The Physical Science Lab is fully equipped with laboratory stations designed
for group work and utilizes the whiteboard for efficient teaching. The number
of learners per class is such that the teacher-in-charge can supervise the
safety of learners and have sufficient time to actively work with each
laboratory group.
- The role of the Physical Science Laboratory is essential since learners must
construct their understanding of physics. The Physical Science Laboratory has
workstations for students, display tables with sinks, and a sufficient amount of
water. There is money set up for unexpected needs. A sprinkler system and
emergency safety eye wash are installed in the laboratory.
2.8. Life Science Laboratory (CHESKA)
- The Life and Earth Science Laboratory is designed to provide a general
background for the understanding of Earth Science and Biology. The Life
Science Laboratory is equipped with learners’ work tables, demonstration
tables with a sink, and an adequate supply of water. Provision is made for
emergency purposes. The laboratory is equipped with an emergency safety
eye wash and a sprinkler system.
2.9. Faculty Room (DYAN)
The faculty room is specially designed as a teacher learning resource center for
giving the teachers the avenue to collaborate on creating classroom
environments and academic activities that maximize the learning of all learners.
Each teacher is provided with a table and a comfortable chair. At the same time,
faculty members could enjoy wireless internet access and other academic and
support services for them to deliver excellent performance.
2.10. Sewing Room (ROSECLERE)
- Aside from the Kitchen Laboratory, the school also has a sewing room that is
provided with the necessary equipment for learners to acquire, practice, and
develop sewing skills.
2.11. High School Department Administrative Office (MARQUIS)
- The High School Department Administrative Office is part of the
Administrative Team and is responsible for the detailed organization of the
High School Department; the development of the instructional program to
meet the needs and interests of the learners; learner evaluation and
supervision; and maintaining communications and public relations.
- In addition, the High School Department Administrative Office has tables,
comfortable chairs, computer desktops, and a couch where the visitors can be
accommodated.
2.12. Gymnasium (LOIS)
- The school prides itself in its spacious gymnasium which is equipped with a
quality sound system and NCAA Standard-Sized Court in supporting the
learners in their goals of leading healthy and active lifestyles. It can
accommodate 500 people at the same time. In addition, it has the NCAA
Standard-Sized Court and an electronic board that can be used for
competitive games such as volleyball and basketball. Clean comfort rooms for
both boys and girls are also provided.
2.13. Comfort Rooms (ZACH)
- Comfort rooms on all floors are kept clean at all times. Learners have easy
access to well-maintained comfort rooms.
2.14. Elevator (HELENA)
- To meet the legal requirement for tall buildings, the school is equipped with
an elevator to facilitate the going up and down of the learners as well as the
transporting of heavy materials. This is also utilized by parents and guardians
during assemblies, convocations, and programs.
3. Academic Support Buildings
3.1. Canteen al Fresco (MATTHEW)
- The Canteen Al-Fresco is Italian-inspired. It offers a variety of freshly cooked
and affordable viands every day and prepares nutritious snacks for the school
community. Tables and chairs, as well as lavatories, are provided for the
comfort of the learners.
3.2. Conference Room (ZACH)
- The Conference Room is used as a venue for a variety of activities, ranging
from educational and careers-based seminars and lectures. Equipment
including a laptop with internet access, a projector, and a large screen is
provided to support educational activities. In addition, this facility is made
available to classes during the academic year so learners can develop their
presentation and oral skills in professional surroundings.
3.3. Chapel (MARQUIS)
- The chapel with the Blessed Sacrament is a special venue provided for all the
learners, school personnel as well as parents to spend time praying and
reflecting to strengthen their intimacy with God. It was built in memory of the
late Maria Carmela Alborghetti (foster mother of the Foundress from Bergamo
Italy).
3.4. Guidance and Counselling Center (CHESKA)
This is an integral part of the total school program. Its clientele is composed of
the school community- the administrators, faculty members, service personnel,
parents, and learners. Its main objective is the maximum development of the
learner into a human person who can make his/her own decisions based on a
knowledge of himself/herself and his/her environment in terms of the people and
social systems, and who can take his/her proper place in society given the full
development of his/her potentials. Such services include:
A. Target Population Personal Inventory
- Gathering information with the use of an updated standardized
personal information sheet. This information is used as a springboard for
counseling.
B. Information
- Serves as a supplement of pertinent information which is not readily
provided by the curriculum or lessons within the class. It renders
information about educational opportunities, requirements, and conditions
for college, and personal enrichment programs that would help in the
adjustment of individuals.
C. Counseling
- This aims to assist individuals to make interpretations of facts relating
to a choice, a plan, or adjustments which they need to make.
D. Follow-up
- To help learners as well as the guidance counselor to continually
motivate and monitor how far the learners are progressing in their current
situations.
E. Testing
- To further help individuals in their self-discovery of the areas of
strengths and weaknesses in their abilities and aptitudes. It is useful
information regarding individuals’ abilities for scholastic evaluation and
proper guidance.
F. Placement
- To assist the learners to progress satisfactorily from one educational
experience to another.
G. Referral
- To tap agencies, organizations, and individuals that/ who may better
assist the learner for cases and to attain the learner’s full potential.
H. Evaluation
- Aims to assess the present guidance service for program development.
To identify their strength and weaknesses for personal growth and
development.
3.5. Records Room (DYAN)
- The Records Room keeps and preserves the records for use and retrieval of
information as needed. The School Registrar is in charge of this responsibility
at various levels. The purpose of record-keeping and management is to
ensure accurate and up-to-date records of learners’ achievements and
growth.
3.6. Music Room (ROSECLERE)
- The well-equipped music room provides a variety of instruments including
guitars, keyboards, and drum sets for learners inclined to music.
C. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori Sanctuary (DANIELLE)
The OLMCM Sanctuary is located at Barangay Puguis, Long-Long, La Trinidad Benguet. It
serves as a venue for major school events like Earth Ranger Activities, Family Day, among
others, and religious activities. It features the following amenities:
1. Covered Court (LOIS)
- The covered court will provide learners a venue to gather and perform various
extra-curricular activities protected from the heat of the sun or heavy rains.

2. Prayer House (ROSECLERE)


- The prayer room provides a place to withdraw, pause, and commune with
God. It is a special place where people can go to pray, seek God, and make
requests and intercessions.
3. Stations of the Cross (MATTHEW)
- The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion that commemorates
Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. The 14 stations, or devotions,
center on particular moments from His death, starting with His condemnation.
The stations are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as the individual moves
from station to station located along the path of the Sanctuary. At each
station, the individual recalls and meditates on a specific event from Christ's
last day. Specific prayers are recited, then the individual moves to the next
station until all 14 are complete.
4. Water Filtration System (ZACH)
- The Water Filtration System provides access to the learners, teachers, and
staff to a healthy alternative to sugar-sweetened beverages and provides safe
drinking water.
D. Other Facilities ()
- School Transport Service
The need for safe transport of each child to school and back home is of paramount
importance to OLMCM. To ensure safe travel the school has its own fleet of school
services designed as per standards and manned by trained drivers sensitized to the
needs of the children.
- OLMCM Bus
Field trips offer exciting, hands-on opportunities for learners to explore art,
history, science, and other topics outside of the classroom. As such, the
school has provided a luxurious and air-conditioned bus with the best of
safety arrangements available for each child. The OLMCM bus has a
maximum 62 seating capacity.
