Introduction:
Education strengthens the individual's mindset towards research and professional attitudes, ways
of work, and appearance towards society itself a challenge. The wisdom that comes from
knowledge through education is applicable, supportive, and appreciative towards the well and
growth of all factors that affect your progress and give you the strength to manage the hurdles
and challenges to achieve your personal and organizational goals and objectives. I am eager to
know about the surroundings in progressive and developmental mindsets that support common
purposes and phenomenal results.
Studying in a multicultural environment where different nationalities having different
experiential learning can share their knowledge and skills-based experience during the study
tenure. I Miss Khushboo Ayub, achieved my early education of Secondary School Certificate in
2013 from BISE Peshawar. I pursued my studies in Government Frontier College for Women
Peshawar in Humanities in 2015. Afterward, I completed my bachelor from Shaheed Benazir
Bhutto Women University Peshawar, while my last attended degree was Master in Islamic
studies session 2019-2020 from the University of Peshawar.
My professional background includes working as project Coordinator in SAIF ASSOCIATES
(PVT) LTD PESHAWAR, a constructional company. I learnt much more from here, but this
didn’t stop my goals for the further education. I have a strong desire for education from a reputed
institution abroad, which will not only boost my educational credentials but also professional
skills. I have no doubt in my mind that improving once education and professional skills
contribute a lot in order to succeed in today’s challenging lifestyle. In 21st century, every day
starts with new discoveries, findings and developments. When it comes to my future professional
plans, I am convinced that I have to be equipped with modern and quality education from
world’s best education providers. I believe that education lays the foundation in our way of
creative thinking and self-confidence, which ultimately lead us to the professional success.
Therefore, I have decided to acquire further education and to do so I have chosen UK as my
study destination.
Why United Kingdom?
I searched for different countries regarding study abroad, for many weeks and months, because I
have always had a keen interest in study abroad. I chose UK to get MSc Project Management
degree that is aligned to my career that is reflected in my job experience. In search of the best
suitable education services, quality of teaching standards, course curriculum, diverse learning
environment, reasonable and affordable tuition fees and living costs, I decided to go UK as my
abroad study destination. My Country does not offer a degree for 1-year in project management,
and there are number of other reasons why UK attracted me to get my study abroad dream
achieved. Firstly, United Kingdom is home to number of world class institutions which are
known for their high quality education and an astounding quality of lecturers and professor’s
imparting knowledge to the students. Secondly, any international student in UK is allowed to
work for 10-20 hours in a week and secure a job after they have graduated from the university.
Thirdly, being an international student, it is very much interesting experience as it allows me to
dive into the multi-cultural society of it as every university compromise of an individual’s flying
from the different parts of the world to obtain higher studies. I can say that multi-cultural society
will allow me to gain an immense amount of exposure. Fourthly, the reason that really hits my
goal is to get the degree in shorter period of time. When I came across one of these positive
reasons, why I must go to UK? I really made up my mind because I could get a degree in a
shorter period of time than in the other countries.
Lastly, UK universities are renowned for high academic standards which has a great
employability, so is assures to get a job wherever I want to in my country or outside with my
project management skills. If I complete my degree in UK it will be recognized and respected all
over the world. A degree from a UK university will give me a strong foundation for the real
world and will help me land my dream job. Studying in the United Kingdom will make my CV
strong to potential employers. Most employers prefer to hire people who speak English well. I
thought that if I study in UK, It will affirm employers that I can live, work, and communicate in
English.To get a degree from UK is now my strong desire, as in world’s top study destinations
UK has emerged significantly over the last many decades. Apart from this, UK has fame for
educational models and the state-of-the-art institutions. Hence, I am confident that choosing to
study in the UK is my best decision in favor of my future career.
Why UWS? And why London Campus?
I am greatly attracted towards studying in the University of the West of Scotland, UK, London
campus because of the education system and the government’s keen interest in promoting
education and its standards for not only local but also for international students. I wish to be
enrolled in the MSc Project Management offered by University of the West of Scotland, London,
UK. I selected UWS because the range of courses was many and I easily found out my suitable
course. UWS is one of the best performing modern universities in Scotland and ranked in the top
150 universities worldwide under 50 years of age in the Times Higher Education Young
University Rankings 2022. In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022, UWS was the
most impactful university in Scotland for decent work and economic growth and 23rd most
impactful university in the world for reducing inequalities. In the most recent UK-wide research
assessment exercise, the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, 90 percent of research at
UWS was classed as world-leading, internationally excellent, or recognized internationally.
UWS will increase my employability and career prospects.
I have chosen this institution because University of the West of Scotland has been providing
quality education to international students with good credibility and quality. This University of
the West of Scotland has a complete check and balance over the quality of enhancement and its
education facilities, it has value of the course recognition and the courses at University of the
West of Scotland are approved by the UK Government and they are internationally recognized.
Especially, in Management courses at University of the West of Scotland are fully accredited
from Washington Accord. For me, going to UWS can be a life-changing experience as its high
profile teachers always get ready to help students in the campus,and also there is a dedicated
team of International Student Advisers (ISAs) in the campus to help students during studies.
Advisers offer tailored guidance, including visa and immigration advice, and can answer
questions about finance and other general welfare. UWS London campus has a latest teaching
technology and classroom practice that is internationally recognized. Besides all, I will also be
able to enjoy the outdoors life while receiving the best quality education at the London campus
of UWS. London campus has a numerous positive aspects for me as London is the capital city of
the United Kingdom, is an incredibly cosmopolitan and dynamic city. The UWS London
Campus offers attractive, modern facilities in close proximity to major attractions in central
London. There are restaurants, Art galleries, Parks, natural history museum etc. UWS London
campus does not manage student accommodation in London, but there are many private rental
options for students seeking accommodation. There are Companies such as Sanctuary Students
and  Unite Students as local letting agents for private flat rental can provide options. Lastly,
UWS has a proactive and dynamic Students' Association and all UWS students automatically
become a member of the Students' Association. By joining a society, I can get a great way to
make friends and meet new people.

Other University

I have selected UWS London campus for my studies. While I was doing research on many
institutes of London like University of East London, University of Roehampton London,
University of Westminster, Coventry University and many. I found that UWS is feasible in terms
of Fee structure as other universities are expansive for International students. Another aspect
which really inspired me and attracted me to UWs is the course modules, a module Procurement
which is very important in Project management is a subject given in UWS London campus
which is not present in many universities modules. Project procurement management is the basis
for successful project management, so I found the UWS London campus to be the best suit my
goals. I also like the location of UWS London as all the Parks, entertainment, restaurants are near
to the campus. There is Poplar mosque and community center is just in 5 minute walk from the
university.

Why MSc Project Management?

I chose to study project management as the organization which drives me towards this decision is
a constructional company as I have mentioned. Working in many projects with them, gave me
enough insight into project management techniques. I had number of options for my career path,
like financial management, Human resource management, leadership and operational
management, but the course that fits my career path best is the ‘Project management’. I think I
can excel better with it in my future as it reflects my previous work experience. I have come
across many project management subjects, so from there I developed my interests to get myself
into an organized platform where I can learn the project management in a articulated way.
Further, I also thought to let myself into international institute where I may get much exposure
than in my country. I truly believe that MSc Project Management is particularly designed for
people like me, who are really interested in the field of Management.Project management is an
important part of any organization. Project Management is to organize and manage both people
and resources in order to meet targets, optimize efficiency, guarantee quality of work and
implement time management and productivity systems. Aside from the fundamentals of project
management, the MSc Project Management course also develops a series of secondary skills like
Problem solving, Communication, Analysis, Critical thinking and Research methodology.  

The modules in course structure are so much rich to make up a great mind to enter into project
management field. Two of the modules that I really got attracted to are ‘Project risk
management’ and ‘Change management and Leadership’. In project management, particularly in
Pakistan, where there is fluctuations in economy is inevitable and uncertainty too. To manage a
construction projects is a hard nut to crack. Learning this module will help me to find the risk
factors and how to effectively manage these risks to somehow risk may get calculated. On the
other hand, Change management and leadership is the core subject in my opinion. I need
leadership skills because in the project, leadership plays a vital role in timely delivering the
projects with perfect specification and quality.

Post study plans and Career Opportunities in my home country

Once I have successfully completed the study program of MSc Project Management from
University of the West of Scotland, London, I will return to my home country Pakistan and will
have better chances to enter in a professional career as compared to now because I will stand out
amongst my competitive fellows & will give them a tough competition because of my
international expertise, there are a lot of opportunities for project management student for
professional career in Pakistan,
MSc project management will open up the door of opportunity for me in enhancing my career,
I will start my professional career my country by applying the techniques that I learn from UWS.
The degree of UWS in MSc Project Management course will have an array of opportunities in
my feet from jobs in the construction and manufacturing industries to careers in consultancy
firms. The alumnae have made names for themselves in and many have gone on to establish their
own successful companies and consultancies. I would be able to join the well-known companies
like TAJ residential, Raheem proj and Bahria Group of Companies as project manager and salary
benefits ranging from approximately from 2 to 3 lacs. Therefore, after completion of my degree
from UK, I will have plenty of options for employment Opportunities. I am looking forward to
get a world class exposure. This would support me to serve in a best possible way in my country.
