Objectives:
1. To raise Ss’ awareness of the English language;
2. To acquire and use new vocabulary: professions
3. To make connections between images and words
4. To identify professions and make sentences of their own

6. To encourage children to think of themselves in relation to specific professions
7. To encourage communication skills, using pictures

Lesson
Evocation T prepares the class for the Ss by means of conversation. To help Ss get into the

One of the Ss read the homework loud, T correct the
possible mistakes and explains the corrections to the Ss.
Realization of T announces the new lesson “What do you want to be?” and
meaning writes the title on the board. TSs

T writes on the board the new words:


Baker (beɪkə) - brutar
Hairdresser (hɛədrɛsə) - frizer
Farmer (fɑːmə) – fermier
Pilot (paɪlət) – pilot
Tailor (teɪlə) – croitor
Driver (draɪvə) - șofer
Ss write the new words in their notebooks.
After, T says to open their books at page 56-57 and do look
at ex.1.
T says to listen to the poem and to write down the names of
professions. They listen attentively and write the
professions. They also answer what parents do. Ex.2,3 page
56. T proposes to read the poem. They read in turn.
After, they do ex.4: Answer the questions.
T says to do ex.5 page 57 at the blackboard: to choose and
write the missing word. Ss write at the blackboard and in
their notebooks.
After, they do ex.6 page 57. They complete the spider
grams. Than, T ask pupils about their parents jobs.
Extension In a few words the teacher summarizes the lesson. TSs To reinforce the Ss
