Min 3 years tenure in role before an SLT moves (5 yrs ideal, 7 yrs max)
Gender balance
4 ExCo to review best female candidate for internal searches
ExCo to interview a credible female candidate for external searches
Local appointments

We expect 70% of market appointments to be local

Red flags/what this means:


• Don’t search externally until you have looked at the best internal candidates
• Look at local talent (including nationals who may be working in other markets) before turning to other nationalities
• Find and interview female candidates in all cases
• Unless in an emergency, don’t move SLT with less than 3 years in role (and E bands with less than 2 years)
• International assignments should be for Rising Stars and deliver significant benefits: they incur high costs
• Keep numbers of interviews to a workable minimum (aim for 4 max)
