Steps in Writing a Simple Paragraph:


1. Choose a general topic.
2. Narrow down your general topic to a specific topic.
3. Write up the three questions about your specific topic.
D. DEVELOPMENT 4. Choose one question on which to focus your paragraph.
ACTIVITY 5. Reword your question into a statement. This will be the topic sentence for
your paragraph.
6. Write down three sentences that help support your topic sentence.
7. Summarize your topic sentence and three supporting sentences with a
conclusion sentence.
