Self-introduction

First, thanks for taking time for the interview. My name is Quang, 20 yo. I’m currently living in
district 5, HCM city and being a second-year student majoring in Business Administration,
Communication Management at University of Greenwich Vietnam.

I have been working for multiple middle/small-size company since 2017 in difference positions
as Sales, Media, and Event manager.

I also know how to use Microsoft Office quite well, as well as basic graphic designing and web
designing.

Strength – Example
During my study and working experiences, I’ve developed some sort of skills. In fact, I’m kinda
proud of my leading and communication skills.
For instance, in a project, whenever you need a leader who capable in quick decision making
and workload dividing, I’m the one can handle it. I have ability to assess the situation quickly
and come up with the most suitable solution. Occasionally, I end up working with a new team, I
can easily point out my teammates’ personalities as well as strengths and weaknesses through
several conversation, therefore, it will also be easier to divide the work suitable for each
member.
And being a leader require empathy, therefore, communication skill is one of my best focus. For
example, working in a group, a company require communicating a lot. It’s not only boost your
confidence but also build up your social reputation. And once you have positive reputation, no
one can ignore your ideas. And the way I practice communication is kinda simple too. I don’t
talk much but I like to listen to people to find out what they need, what they want, what is their
favorite topic, what problems they have, etc. From there, approach the conversation
appropriately and slowly. Communication is a key to success.
Weakness – Solution
Honestly, I’m aware that I have a lot of weaknesses. But my ego leads me and my team into
various unworthy failures. I’ve been spending most of my time working as a leader of a team,
because of being a leader, I know my responsibility is making sure that the project operates
smoothly, and I everything is under my control. Therefore, sometimes, I ignore my teammates’
cautions. As a result, I made mistakes and failed the tasks.
Personally, I don't think there will be any radical solutions because ego is essential for
everyone, and as a leader, you need to put your ego at a certain level to be able to make
choices. What I can do is practice controlling my ego to avoid being blinded by my own
subjectivity, listening to my teammates and people around me more, and training myself to be
calm and objective in every situation.
