LEARNING OBJECTIVES

LO At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to create simple dialogues correctly.

SC At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to ask about and express the robot’s ability correctly.

1. Recap the story by saying some phrases/sentences from the story.


I. PRE-LESSON 2. Elicit who says them.
e.g. It can’t speak. (Thunder)
1. Activity 1:
 Play the recording.
 Pupils listen and repeat.
 Prompt questions to check comprehension.
2. Activity 2:
II. LESSON  Tell pupils that they are going to modify the story by having the robot has other problems
DEVELOPMENT that they need to fix.
 Organise pupils into groups and distribute dialogue templates.
 Model the activity for the whole class.
 Then, guide pupils to complete their dialogues in their groups.
 Then, pupils practise acting out their dialogues.
 Groups role play for the class.
 Collect their written dialogues at the end of the class to review.

III. POST LESSON 1. Elicit from pupils why teamwork is important when they do these kind of activities and how
they can make their teamwork better.
