Welcome speech

Situation: Giving a briefing speech on arrival from the airport to the hotel. Picked up a group of
passengers From AustraliaTo stay at two different hotels in Ubud.

Excuse me ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of our company, universal holiday, and
personally as Balinese, it is our pleasure to welcome you to Bali. My name is I Putu Adi Ardana
Yasa, just call me Adi. I am your guide during your holiday in Bali. Your driver's name is Kadek
Ajus. He is a very good and experienced driver. Well, here we are now, but first I want to know
is your flight to Bali ok?
We are going to two different hotels in Ubud, the first is Mandapa Hotel for Mr. Kenzo
and Mrs. Keyla, the second is The Royal Pitamaha Hotel for Mr. Robet and Mrs. Yuni. These
two Hotels are very close to each other and it takes approx1 hour 30 minutes drive from the
airport to get to the first hotel.
Okay, everyone, I will explain a little about Bali. Bali is one of the most beautiful islands
among more than 17,000 islands in Indonesia. It is a unique small island, with an island area of
153 km long and 112 km wide and an island area of 123.98 km2, inhabited by about 4 million
people, believing in five different religions. Those are Hindus, Muslims, Catholics, Protestants
and Buddhism.
Bali is famous for its dances and culture, traditional music, many carvings, paintings,
leather crafts and metalworking are quite popular. Not only that the Balinese people are also very
friendly and helpful, so it's generally quite safe for people who want to visit Bali but I don't want
to say everyone here is a good person. Bad and good characters are found everywhere in the
world, we believe in the Balinese concept of 'Ruabineda', Rua means two, Bineda means
different, so 'Rua Bineda are two different aspects that are always opposite to each other.
Therefore always be careful with someone you don't know and also take good care of your
valuables.
I believe that shopping is a big part of your vacation apart from relaxing. It's interesting
to shop in Bali because you can bargain a lot, especially at markets and street stalls. You can bid
up to 50% off. Please don't be shy about asking if you can bid or not. This is one of our ways of
life, we also bargain with each other. Exploring local cuisine may also be part of the holiday, and
I'm sure you'll want to enjoy not only the food but the atmosphere as well. You can taste
Balinese food in restaurants around the hotel and in Ubud Center.
And now I well explain a little about Ubud. Ubud is a traditional village as well as a
tourist destination in the Gianyar district, Bali island, Indonesia.
Ubud is especially famous among foreign tourists because it is located between rice fields
and forest with ravines that make the natural scenery very beautiful. In addition, Ubud is known
for its art and culture which is developing very rapidly and progressing. The pulse of the life of
the people of Ubud cannot be separated from the arts. Here there are also many art galleries, as
well as arenas for music and dance performances which are held alternately every night in all
corners of the village.
Well, either way, we'll give you our welcome kit that can help you find most of what you
need during your Bali holiday, whether it's restaurants, the best places to shop, day trips out or
adventures.
