I. COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This is a three-unit course designed to arm graduate students with skills in


undertaking educational research. Specifically, it is focused on the study of nature and purpose of
educational research, the steps involved and the process in each step, and the impact of a
meaningful research on the quality of life. It is, likewise, meant to prepare students to write a
scholarly thesis or action research.

II. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. Master and apply the steps in writing an action research paper;


2. Employ research skills in a day-to-day pedagogical concerns;
3. Familiarize with the various methods and techniques of educational research.
4. Propose an Action Research Paper title.
