I. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course introduces the graduate students to various statistical methods which can
be applied in solving problems related to social and education research. It puts emphasis on
statistical tools which are often encountered in action research and thesis writing. It includes
discussions on the application of computers to statistical data processing.
After the completion of this course, the graduate students should be able to:
1. Understands the different statistical terms used.
2. Apply the different measures of central tendency and dispersion.
3. Practice the basic concepts of probability, probability distributions, estimation and
hypothesis testing.
