The design services that will cope with the specific product activity for each of the shops . The
main concept to enhance the existing finishes as needed and proposed design with decorations
& custom fu rniture such as but not limited to loose & fixed furniture , fixtures , racks, counters,
display tables, Etc. To comply and accommodate the required functionality for each shop.
Mwani Qatar is looking for a qualified contractor to take on the works of fit out including but not
limited to customized furniture for 10 shops in Souq AI Yezwa bu ilding AI Ruwais Port.

3 LOCATION

The location of the works sha ll be at the Souq AI Yezwa bu ilding within the vicinity of AI-
Ruwais Port.

4 SCOPE OF WORKS

The contractor shall provide material, tools and labor to Furnish and Decorate the Retail spaces
of 10 Shops at Souq AI Yezwa Building within the vicinity of AI-Ruwais Port.

The contractor shall perform the following works accord ing to all requireme nts specified in this
contract. This project includes but not limited to the following works:

1. Project site Inspection (finishes , Electrical. ... .etc).

2. Preparing full details shop drawings for review and approval by the client.
3. Contractor shall inspect the site and review the as-bu ilt drawing and provide the suitable
solution to connect the additional light & sockets to the existing power & lighting system .
4. Prepare shop drawings for electrical modifications (power points relocation , new lightings for
customized wall display cabinets and new chandeliers .... etc.).
s. Provide sample boards for all design finish es materia ls (wood, hinges, knobs, lights, acrylic,
shelves ... etc) for approval by the client.

6. Prepare mock-up samples for the following items at one shop that will be defined by the client
for approval before proceed the fabrication :
• One arch for the customized wall display cabinet including all accessories (final paint,
lighting , shelves ... etc).
• Custom made floor display cabinet.
• Custom made cashier counter.
7. Supply and install custom made decorative wooden furniture (wall display cabinets, floor
display cabinets and cashier counters) as per the approved shop drawings and mock-up
sample.
8. Relocation of all power point on walls that receive custom made wall display cabinets as per
the design drawings and site condition .
9. Supply and install lights (chandelier, spotlight, cove light and tracking light) with all
accessories (wiring, lamp ... etc) as per the design drawings.
10. Supply and apply 2 coats of the approved paint finish color on the existing pa int finish .

11. Contractor have full responsibility to repair any damages what will happen during his works
in the site without any extra cost.
12. Testing and commissioning for all new works shall be under contractor's scope of work.

5 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
1. The Works shall be executed in accordance with the following specifications, regulations,
notices, circulars and applicable codes , including all subsequent revision(s), amendments(s)
and project specifications (refer to attached Appendix 2):
a. Qatar National Construction Standards (QCS2014) prepared by the Qatar General
Organisation for Standa rds and Metrology (QGOSM) and all subsequent revisions and
amendments.
b. The Survey Manual prepa red by the Survey Section of the Ministry of Public Works .
c. The Regulations for the Installation of Electrical Wiring, Equipment and Air Conditioning of
Residential and Commercial Buildings, fifth re-issue dated June 1986 prepared by the
Ministry of Electricity and Water, P.O. Box 41 , Doha.
d. Any current and relevant regulation, notice or circular issued by the Ministry of Municipal
Affairs and Agriculture (including the previous Ministry of Public Works and the previous
Ministry of Industry and Public Works), the Ministry of Electricity and Water or the
appropriate local Municipality prior to the date of the News Paper Advertisement to tender.
e. Any local Municipality regulations .
f. State of Qatar Law No. (6) of the yea r 1987 and all subsequent amendments concerning
Materials and Equipment from Qatar or other GCC countries, obtainable from Government
House, Doha.
g. Ci rcular No. 3 of the year 2013 issued by the Ministry of Finance concerning Foreign
Contractors should depend on Local Market of not less than 30%.
