Course Description
This course is meant to help students to use instructional media and technologies for learning to
facilitate the delivery of instruction/teaching-learning in education and training contexts. It
exposes students to various types of instructional media and technologies in order to help them to
understand the principles, methods and techniques for using instructional media and technology
systematically and rationally in education and training settings.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:
i. Outline the scope of educational technology and explain its relationship with other terms
in the teaching-learning process.
ii. Discuss the function and importance of educational technology in knowledge acquisition
iii. Plan and implement instruction/teaching that incorporates media and technologies for
learning.

Mode of Assessment: Assessment on the course will involve quizzes and group project work
(40%) and an end-of-semester examination (60%).
