Course of study: Bachelor of Science (Finance) Year of study: 3rd year Date: 7 October, 2022 Ongoing semester: 3.1 Semester left to finish study: 5 Introduction Hello, hope you are all fine. I hereby take this time to write to you my mid of semester report to highlight to you the moments it had. Summary of studies during the semester The semester begun on a high note as it had been planned, the classes begun immediately the timetable was out. Our lecturers have been cooperative and ready to help us, since we are having additional units. So far the classes have been well, have met some of my classmate whom I only used to see them on zoom while doing the online learning. Things that went well I am excited to be part of the PSS getting the opportunity to continue with my education. I take this chance to express my thanks and gratitude for the continued support towards my academic. I was able to get the upkeep support which helped me a lot, especially on my tuition fee which was increased. Last semester I was elected as the class representative, the work to be done by a representative seemed difficult at first, but as per now, I can confidently say that I love the work and both my classmate and lecturers has contributed to making it even easier. Things that were difficult or caused problems The most difficult part was raising my tuition fees which was increased, this almost led to deferment since there was financial constrain almost everywhere that I turned to seek help. Thank God after trying without success, the school came up with another protocol saying ‘those students who have not cleared the tuition fees can attend the classes but will not be allowed to sit for any examination.’ Attempt to raise money for school fees. Since I have not been in a position to get HELB, I had to help my brother to sell clothes so that at least, I can have some money to pay for my tuition fees and also some manual jobs to anyone who may have one and comfortably stay in school. Plans for the next semester I am planning to put more effort in my studies and also look for attachments in different institution to add up my skills. I am planning to think of how I can raise tuition fees for next semester. Any additional Comments I appreciate the support I have received from CMETrust and am also thankful for receiving the money earlier, this enable me to be in school and somehow focus more on my studies. I miss the family and would wish if we could have our workshops more than once a year.
