I. Objectives:
At the end of this lesson, the students are expected to:
a. make an emergency plan before, during and after earthquake
b. infer how earthquake drills help people stay safe in case of earthquake.
B. Motivation
Teacher will show a short video presentation about earthquake in real scenario then asked
the following questions:
How prepared are you when earthquake occur?
How are you going to avoid the strong impact of earthquake?
C. Learning Development
1. Do you live near the area where active faults present?
2. Is there an active fault passing by your town, province, or region? If so, are you and your
family prepared for the occurrence of an earthquake?
3. What are the thing you need to know before, during and after the earthquake?
ACTIVITY
1. Group the students into three.(group before, group during and group after)
2. Let each group enumerate /list the things that need to do before, during and after the
earthquake.
3. The focus of each group will depend on their group names (e.g. if your GROUP
BEFORE focus on before the earthquake)
4. Each group shall have a reporter who will explain in front the finished output.
