1. Explain how Volcanoes are formed.

➔ When rock from the mantle melts, moves to the surface through
the crust, and releases pent-up gases, volcanoes erupt. Extremely
high temperature and pressure cause the rock to melt and become
liquid rock or magma. When a large body of magma has formed, it rises
thorugh the denser rock layers toward Earth's surface

2. Choose one of the different Types of Volcanoes and draw.

- Cinder Cone Volcanoes.

● Mount Alu
● Mount Balungao
● Mount Binaca
● Mount Malindang
5 Active volcanoes

- Mount Hibok-Hibok
- Mount Pinatubo
- Mount Taal
- Mount Kanlaon

4. Identify and explain the types of volcanic eruptions.

➔ In general, eruptions can be categorized as either effusive or

explosive. Effusive eruptions involve the outpouring of basaltic
magma that is relatively low in viscosity and in gas content.
Volcanic eruptions may fall into six major types Icelandic,
Hawaiian, Strombolian, Vulcanian, Pelean, and Plinian.
