TEACHER’S REFLECTION ON LIMITED

FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

The Corona Virus (COVID-19) brought unprecedented challenges to different

parts of society such as health, government, work industry, and many others. The crisis

can also be seen in the field of education as many countries including Philippines

decided to close schools, college, and universities. To continue education amidst the

current situation, educational leaders crafted responsive measures.

As an educator, I am more than proud to say that teachers also extend their

undying support and effort to the mission and vision of the Department of Education,

hence, the start of limited face to face classes. Though risks are still present, it is a

brave and needed step for our learners’ sake.

Limited face to face classes has been a big help for learners, specially those who

are struggling in the understanding of their modules. It also heals behavioral and

emotional issues to both teachers and students as brough by the unexpected shift in the

process of teaching and learning. Students participating in face-to-face classes had the

opportunity to raise questions whenever misconception of the topic arises. They are

also first to accomplish the task because they attained the mastery of the subject, and

they were given more learning support due to teachers’ presence.

Over-all, teachers are thankful and satisfied, students are relieved and less tired,

and parents are also happy in the limited face to face classes.
