CIABU NHS CONDUCTED A SUCCESSFUL SCOUTING CELEBRATION

Scouting is one of the extracurricular activities where teachers and students


actively engaged in.

Hence, October is the month for scouting celebration. A celebration that involves
valid activities for the students to perform to develop their skills and abilities as
well as the value of sportsmanship.

Ciabu National High School conducted it's school based celebration greatly started
a school band parade leaded by the Ciabu Marching Band awakened the
community to witness the event.

The joint program of the scouters included the dedication of the Scout Oath and
Law headed by Mr. Dexter Ababao and Ms. Jazzy Mae Bautiso.

The formal opening was done by Scout Commissioner Lloyd T. De Paz.

Such an event was conducted by each officiating officials ad they represent the
names of their troops, Agila, Kuwago, Lawin and Kalapati.

To begin the fun, the troop leaders of each team started the Banner Raising
Contest judged by Sir De Paz. It was then followed by the Chant and Troop
Formation that was judged by the School Head Mr. Delio M. Amante Jr.

The committee members also started the games at the selected area of the
school to held the games.

Three games was held outside the Science Lab, Cooking Rice (Mylene Urbona),
Making Fire ( Menerve Dohiling), and Roasted Egg ( Anica Janine Albarico).

While Tag of War (Lloyd De Paz), Sack Race ( Roland Omalay), Maria and Mario
Went to Town (Susan Pono and Edmond Galvez) and Action Relay (Reina Fulache
and Ronalyn Buen) was also held successfully.

The scouters joined, cheered, yelled, and enjoyed. In the, during the announcing
of the winners, Troop Kalapati was crowded as the champions while Troop Agila
won the first place.Troop Kuwago stand happily as 2nd and Troop Lawin was
announced for winning the 3rd place.

The scouters seemed tireless, teachers are equally energetic as they cheered and
acted as parents to their scouts. Satisfied and fulfilled, all scouters went home
with their hearts filled with joy and pride.

The event was a success beacause of the cooperation of the committee members.

Teofanis Manla, Joan Amarado, Faye Marie Tagines, Ronalyn Buen, Marvin Jay
Lulab, Marisol Sacro, Lloyd De Paz as well as all of the advisers supported the
scouting celebration.

Sherlyn Coyoca also did a great job for participating as the EMCEE during the
event.
